This unique and captivating composer, jazz vocalist, 'cellist & pianist recently graduated with First Class Honours from Trinity College of Music. She has worked with Soul II Soul, the London Symphony Orchestra, Gwyneth Herbert, the Reggae Philharmonic Orchestra, Courtney Pine and Jason Yarde. As well as performing at the 2008 Jazz Festival, Ayanna has been featured on various BBC Radio stations, Colourful Radio and Resonance FM. Courtney Pine describes her as "one of our rising stars of the future" and she has been described as having “a honey-sweet vocal delivery with bewitching, and bewildering, cello-playing” by Time Out Magazine. Ayanna is currently composing for a new full-length opera, covering a song for Marc's (4Hero) new album and will be touring the UK with Courtney Pine in March. She is also writing material for her highly anticipated debut album, which is due for release in 2009.
